About Alan Nisbet

I have always had a passion for design in all forms. I studied Furniture and Product Design at the Edinburgh college of Art before taking on a management role within my family business where I worked for over a decade. However, when not at work you would find me scouring interiors websites, doodling furniture designs or visiting European design hubs.

This passion led to a desire for a change in direction in my professional life, and in 2017 I attended and graduated from the Chippendale International School of Furniture - a truly amazing place where I was able to develop my skills as a craftsman and indulge in my love of design and making.

I love working with wood, the challenge of creating innovative solutions to design problems and the incredible satisfaction of turning a sketch, or even just an idea rattling around inside your head, into a three dimensional piece of furniture.
